I've been thinking about this review, for Stonecreek Building Company for some time. Major construction does not happen in a short amount of time, is hard to redo, and is far from an exact science. You are relying on the craftsmen doing the work, the collaborative effort amongst the contractors, and the General overseeing it all. We had started an extensive landscape project on our home. During the project it was discovered that we had major water damage to our roof which included much black mold. Hazardous materials demolition was going to be an early step in the process. A full renovation rather than repairs as it was explained to us. Where to even begin? Also, we could not be here for significant parts of the project and being able to trust who was here doing what to what standard was going to be really important. An early step was to call in a specialist to consult with about the damage and what to do about all the mold. The person who worked on that detail impressed me immensely with his knowledge of materials as well as his history of the area. He came highly recommended. We decided rather than seek out building companies directly to work with, instead to ask people who had specialized experience who they might recommend? The hazardous materials demolition expert told us for a custom project like ours, to do the renovation, there were only a couple of companies he would really recommend. His top recommendation if we could get them was Stonecreek Building Co. A meeting was arranged. Joe Costello showed up at our house with two other members of his team. Nate Fitch, and Michael Costello. The positivity and collegiality amongst these guys was a joy to be around. And they're all jacked, too. For those of you not in the strength training world jacked is a good thing :) Due to all the water damage we also had a serious rodent problem. During our initial walk around the property I asked Joe if I could show him the crawl space above the ceiling where rodent damage had occurred. He said you can show me anything you want. I realized I could slow down and take my time with these guys. They wanted to understand. So big Joe got up on my ladder and poked his head through the ceiling into the crawl space to see one of the many frustrations I'd been dealing with over time. On the next meeting Joe, Nate, and Michael arranged for a few different materials experts to meet back up at the house. We got ladders out and set to work. It was a collaboration of great minds that I got to observe. Something really jumped out. Owners of companies are at these meetings. That's who is coming up. We're a long ways up the mountain. Not convenient. The somewhat grumbly roofer specialist said he would only take the project because it was Joe (Costello). Huh. Interesting. He would do it because it was Joe. Either this guy Joe is scary mean or he's well liked and people value working with him a great deal. Later on in the project, when we were several weeks into it, I had a few questions. Called up Joe. He took my call and reception was quite good, but not Scottsdale good. I asked where he was. In Peru, with family. But he takes my call. The observations like this along the way are many, but I am limited today in how much I can write. Joe used the word restore. He was grateful for the opportunity to restore our home he told me. I realized this was not a construction project to them or just fixing damage, it was a restoration! The original architect would be pleased with their work, and grateful for it. It is outstanding. And pays respect to the location and design of the home, while actually improving on it. When the project was finally completed I realized it wasn't goodbye. Stonecreek has been totally on board to help us with other things we needed done and also to stay with the details of what we should be looking for in the years to come to make sure the work is weathering well. We are grateful to have been able to work with Stonecreek on our house that we love so much.

Stonecreek Building Company is an amazing team to partner with for any new build or remodel project. We just completed a major remodel for a mutual client, they were extremely easy to work with, had quality tradesmen and met the budget and timeline. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Stonecreek did an amazing job restoring our 1925 adobe in Paradise Valley. They kept every commitment they made. Their work and the work of their subs was of high quality. They had a small army of men on site every day for almost a year. We highly recommend them!

Stonecreek Building successfully steered the beautiful renovation of the exterior and interior of my home (great bones... but needed some major updates). Communication with Joe and Michael Costello was transparent and friendly, always supported by their innovative skills to reach my goals. I was able to live in another city while the interior was remodeled, knowing from experience with my exterior renovation that Stonecreek takes pride in making sure each component of my complex projects received the necessary attention. Truly wholesome, honest, reliable, and having the best subcontractors on their team, I recommend Stonecreek to anyone looking for the highest quality management for home building or remodeling.
